Hakata Yamakaki Boy 'Sunmassen (sorry)' by Isao Nishijima

There are two of them on each side of the water clock in front of the Chuo Ward Office.

'Yamakaki' means shouldering a float at the Yamakasa festival.

The boys usually wear happi coats but at 'Hakata Dontaku Port Festival' they wear 'Niwakamen (special masks)'.
