Stained glass in information square
The underground shopping arcade which echoes a 19th century European town contains 26 beautiful stained glass and ceramic decorative pieces.
These bright and beautiful works of art come alive in the light. In the information square, there are two stained glass flowers - a confederate rose and a sasanqua. Both are Fukuoka City's official flowers. They were made in 1996 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the subway system.
If you take a stroll around the underground shopping arcade, you will come across some famous Renaissance art such as 'La primavera' or 'Tre Grazie' by Sandro Botticelli and 'The Last Supper' by Leonardo da Vinci.
