Ruins of Fukuoka Castle
Nagamasa kuroda, the feudal lord of theRegion, started work on the castle in 1601 and the construction continued seven years. The ruins of what is also known as Maizuru castle are now a public park and a well-known destination for cherry and Japanese plum blossom viewing.
